Fox and Bear Community

We have spent the week pondering the many things that we are thankful for!  We decided that we are all most thankful for being back in school together every day!  We hope that everyone has a peaceful and restorative break this coming week!

Snacks

The children are encouraged to bring snacks to have during the day.  Please limit snacks to one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Please avoid sugary snacks as the children feel the fatigue of such snacks and have difficulty focusing when they eat too much sugar.

Fox and Bear Community

This week we have been studying ancient civilizations and the arrival of humans to the planet.  We explored the great lesson of the black strip which has a representation of the small amount of time that humans have been alive on the planet.  We also participated in making "feel better" cards for the children of Israel.  Thank you YaYa Conner for delivering them for us!

FOLDERS

Please remind/assist your child with cleaning out his/her folder this weekend.  The papers are becoming crushed and there are valuable art pieces that could get ruined from overstuffed folders.

• Floor Mats-The Foxes need large mats for floor work.  Please let us know if you have sewing skills and we can get you some instructions.

This week the children have been introduced to ancient civilizations and the history of language.  We will be exploring these topics in the coming weeks.  The students are also finishing up a group timeline of space exploration.  We are excited to see this project come to fruition. 

Please help your student to remember to bring a reusable water bottle to school each day.  The water fountains are closed and we do not currently have any extra water bottles to give out.  Ask your child to label his or his bottle with a permanent marker so that it can be easily returned to them if it gets misplaced.
