This week we have had Mr. Jim subbing and he has enlightened us with a lot of music and dancing!  Additionally, he shared a wonderful video related to punctuation..  The children enjoyed it and we are now using these sounds to help the children with their writing.  Please enjoy the link below:

We've been having a glorious time with continued plant exploration.  Almost all of the children have planted seeds and dissected their plants.  We will be continuing to learn more about the functions of plant parts next week.  The children are also working to help each other with some skills practice including show tying!  Our goal is for all of the foxes and bears to be able to tie their shoes by the school year's end. Keep up practice at home please!

Attention Third Grade Parents!

The third grade students will be participating in the GMAS test starting on April 26 and ending on April 28.  Each of the three days the children will be taking their test in the multipurpose room.  Please make sure that your child gets to bed early on the nights before testing.  They should also have a healthy, filling breakfast and a fully charged computer each day.  The children need to begin their testing at 8:30 each of the three mornings so please make sure that your child arrives on time or early if they need to eat breakfast.

The children are enjoying the introduction of plant study.  In the coming weeks we will be exploring parts of, life cycles, planting, and caring for plants.  If at any time during these weeks you have the opportunity, please send in fresh flowers to be used for dissection.
