This has been an exciting week in the Fox and Bear Community!  We celebrated our third grade students and we wish them well on their adventure in Upper Elementary!  We completed our animal research books and will be bringing them home to share.  Those that didn't finish can have homework for the summer.

The 2022-2023 will bring normalcy to the Lower Elementary Classrooms!  below you will find the links for the new snack plan for the coming school year.  Please read it over and be prepared for great health in the fall.

Next week on Monday, the children will be cleaning up and getting the classroom ready for next year.  On Tuesday the children will be asked to bring in board games to play with friends.  Ms. Kirsten will not be at school on the last day as her daughter is graduating high school and the ceremony is on that day!

Fox and Bear Community

The children are working with focus on the characteristics and food chains of animals.  They are creating amazing books with facts that are blowing us away!  You are raising inquisitive children indeed!  We are so thankful to share in the growth of these fine humans.

Children's devices are due back to the Media Center on Wednesday, May 18.  Please be sure that your child has their device (and charging cord) with them on Wednesday.  If your child's computer is kept at school we will take care of it's return.

It’s that time of year…!!  School Council nominations are OPEN!  The School Council is a group made up of teachers, administrators, parents, and community partners that work together to address school improvement goals. We only meet 5 times per school year, but the meetings are a great way to voice questions and offer suggestions to meet challenges.

We have three parent positions to fill, so if you would like to volunteer your services for a two-year term, or know someone who would be a great addition, please use this nomination form to submit names and info. All parents (excluding those who work at the school) are welcome to apply!

This week several students researched the history of Macaroni and Cheese.  This delicious dish has been around since Thomas Jefferson was president!  We created the original recipe to share and it can be found here:

In the coming weeks we will be exploring characteristics of and the life cycles and food chains of animals.  

Our classroom guinea pigs (Tilly and Neo) have been staying with an Ellis family since the start of Covid.  They will be able to return to the classroom in the fall. However, the family is unable to keep them through the summer.  This is an amazing opportunity to have pets for a limited period of time.  We would greatly appreciate any offers to care for these sweet critters from the end of May until the end of July.  Please let us know if you are interested in caring for these part time pets.
