Fox and Bear Community

The class has adopted two children to purchase gifts for from the school Angel Tree.  If you would like to purchase an item or send in a Target gift card towards these gifts, please do so by December 8th.  The children we are buying for include:

• 8-year old girl that wears size Medium tops and size 8 bottoms.  She enjoys tigers, stuffed animals, and legos.
• 6-year old boy that wears size Medium and he enjoys educational games.

Peace and Giving Celebration            

 

Our Ellis Families are so kind and gracious, especially at this time of the year. As you are shopping for gifts in the upcoming weeks, in lieu of teacher gifts, please keep our classroom needs in mind.

The children will be talking, writing, and learning about how sharing and thinking of the needs of the whole class makes a peaceful classroom.  To become a peacekeeper is our goal.

Please look over our wish list. If you wish to purchase a gift for the class, send the wrapped gift in by Thursday, December 14.  Please label your child’s gift with his/her name.   We will open up gifts together during our celebration. The children will gain a stronger sense of responsibility for our community resources, and will, of course, be thrilled to see “their gift” put to use.  If you are unable to send in a gift...do not worry….We will have several gifts that we have purchased on hand for the children to open so that no one is left out at gift opening time!

This week the children will be brainstorming all of the lovely things that they are thankful for as well as starting their Native American Projects.

On Friday, we will be building a snack cornucopia to share in the afternoon.  Please send a sandwich bag of your child's favorite dry snack.  We will then mix them together to share. (ex: nuts, pretzels, crackers, cereal, dried fruit etc.)

This week the children will be exploring the time line of life. Next week the children will be studying Native American tribes and how these tribes met their Fundamental needs.  We are in need of large cardboard boxes (at least 18 inch x 18 inch minimum).  If you have any large boxes please send them in with your child this week.
