As stated previously, our schedule will be changing as we work outage kinks and form a more stable routine. Morning Meeting will remain at 8:30 and will not be as long as we continue. There's just so many thoughts to share together right now. Our afternoon meeting, however, will change. We use this time fro our read aloud and check-in. This time will now be at 1:45 due to scheduling conflicts and will be considered optional. Recordings can be found under the Resources tab. The file is labeled Recordings. Here you will find James and the Giant Peach recordings as well as other recordings in case your child was not able to make a meeting. We will begin small group lessons next week as well. Each grade level will have a designated time period. We will then break out into smaller groups for lessons. We will continue with the same zoom link. The schedule is as follows:
9:00 1st Grade
9:35 2nd Grade
10:10 3rd Grade
Please be sure your child is on time to all meetings!
During out Morning Meeting yesterday (Thursday), students came up with a list of responsibilities/rules to remember during our Distance Learning time. Please help your child remember to follow these.

Do you have a question for us? Please refrain from asking during our meeting time with kids. We would love to hear from you, but please use email or Remind. We can always set up a meeting time on Zoom as well. Thank you for adhering to this policy. We are here to help.
A question we have heard from many families this week, we would like to clarify. Like in the classroom, students are given the opportunity to choose their own work. This gives them the freedom and independence to be in control of their learning. Next week will be similar to this week as far as assignments go. Students may choose from a variety of topics and assignments daily. Typically, 3-5 assignments can be accomplished during our work period, depending on the depth put into it. With lessons beginning, students will typically have a followup assignment as well. With this being a new platform, we are still working on the best way to show that. Please be patient as we continue to work out the kinks.
Students are expected to turn in assignments daily. If there is ever a problem, please contact us immediately.

During this time of social distancing we must bear in mind the importance of play and outdoor recreation time. We have scheduled part of our day as recess time for your child. Please encourage your children to get outside and move their bodies! Below are some ideas for activities that your child can do individually or in a safe, social distanced group.
