The children are continuing to enjoy our study of Asia.  This week we worked on using chopsticks to pick up materials.  Many of the children picked up on this practice easily and should probably go out for some sushi to celebrate!  The projects that the children are working on in relation to Asia are diverse and interesting.  We can't wait to hear more about all of the amazing things that they are learning.  We have completed i-ready and Amira testing for the majority of the students.  We will be completing MAP testing over the next couple of weeks and then testing will be finished for a while.  

If your child is home sick or quarantined due to factors outside of their classroom being quarantined, please help them to prepare to work at home.  The It's Learning platform has a plethora of mathematics and language arts activities.  Please advise your children to complete work appropriate to their level.  On It's Learning, there is also a quarantine choice board to choose cultural work.  The children may also continue on their learning path in the i-ready app.  Amira is also available for use.  It can be found on ClassLink.   Reading and writing should also be done daily while working from home.  If the class is quarantined again we will pick up with zoom lessons and meetings at that time.  Otherwise, there will not be zoom opportunities available as the majority of the class is at school in person.
