It's almost Presidents' Day! No School on Monday. The staff will be working hard preparing for the next couple of weeks. Use your extra day to talk with your kids about their projects and researching a historical figure. They should have chosen a person to begin researching. They will be writing an informational piece to close out the genre study before beginning opinion writing.
We are finishing up our diorama projects on the African Grasslands. Below you will find the expectations
- cover box with information
- 3+ plant illustrations with information inside of box
- 3+ animal illustrations with information inside of box
- overall neatness and creativity, and presentation.
Next, we will begin our study on the African Deserts. Can you see the trend? We plan on finishing the biomes of Africa before Spring Break.
Thank you for your help with BoosterThon. The kids had a great time with DanceFit on Thursday. Keep moving and stay energized.
Ms. Rebecca came to visit today to speak with the foxes and bears about assertiveness. Speaking up for yourself is a very important skill to learn. Ask your student how they can show assertiveness. Using "I" statements can be a useful tool.
With Montessori Education Week coming up, please enjoy this fabulous artwork by Khadijah Ahmed. What Montessori materials do you see? Not sure what our materials are like? Check out one of our Parent Engagements coming up. We will keep you updated as the dates come out.
