This week we are continuing our study of animal kingdoms.  The third year students will be taking the GMAS on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week!  We will be attending Musical Explorers this Friday!

Each child MUST bring a water bottle to school

 (water bottles can be sent home for cleaning on Fridays)

3rd Grade Parents and Students:

All third grade students will be taking the GMAS (Georgia Milestone Assessment System) at the end of April/Beginning of May.  It would behoove your child to practice at home.  We will also be working with the children to help them prepare here at school.  Below are two links that can be used at home for GMAS preparation.

Please encourage your child to read 20 minutes each day with you or independently.

This week the children will be exploring the history of numbers as well as researching animals and their classifications.  Tomorrow we will be going to Oatland island for our rescheduled field trip.  We plan to go rain or shine so please help your child dress accordingly and they will need to bring a lunch that does not require re-heating.

This Thursday will be a big night for our Ellis students!  We hope to see everyone at the school starting at 5:00.  The Lower Elementary art show will be exhibiting work from all of our students.  Music presentations will follow.  PTA will also be meeting at 6:30.  It will be a night to remember!
